NALTREXONE TITRATION PROTOCOL:

First review LFTs, if LFTs less than 3Xs the ULN then initiate trial of Naltrexone

  1. Week 1: 25mg every day after meals
  2. Week 2 &3: 50mg every day
  3. Week 4 onwards 100mg every day
  4. May inc. to 150mg after 2-3 months if clinically indicated

Please monitor LFTs every 2-3 months

    In my clinical experience Naltrexone 50mg every day is a subtherapeutic dose for most patients.
